Our main feature focuses on Concorde G-BOAG, at The Museum of Flight, Seattle, USA. Senior PR Manager Ted Huetter brings us the news on this project, which was made all the more challenging because the aircraft had to be painted in place in the museum.
Toolmaker Richard Froud shares his recollections of the pioneering process used to machine parts for Concorde’s airframe.
We also include a report from the recent aviation fair held by TAS Manchester, under the wings of Concorde G-BOAC. Finally, we have the latest news on the maintenance and restoration works currently being carried out on Concordes G-BOAC at the Runway Visitor Park in Manchester, G-AXDN at the British Airliner Collection, IWM Duxford, and G-BBDG at Brooklands Museum.
