Issue 19: December 2018

In this extended issue we mark the 15th anniversary of the last Concorde flights first for Air France and then for British Airways. We feature the very last flight, on 26 November 2003, when British Concorde G-BOAF returned to her birthplace at Filton.

We look at the final journey for each Concorde, including the ones that did not fly again, and hear about the process of decommissioning by which their life as flying machines was brought to a close. For that historic flight by Alpha Fox, we hear from people who were on board the aircraft that day, and from those who watched from the ground as she came in to land.

We then catch up with Alpha Fox again, during an inter-group meeting of Concorde enthusiasts from Britain, France, and further afield, first to see Concorde G-BBDG at Brooklands Museum and then to see Alpha Fox at Aerospace Bristol, Filton.

Lastly, we review two new books on Concorde, giving very different views of the aircraft.
