To open this issue, Mach 2 is delighted to include an article from BA Chief Pilot and Chief Concorde Pilot Jock Lowe, who was one of the first airline pilots to fly Concorde. He recalls the transition from test flying to the start of passenger services.
From the start of Concorde’s time in service, the story then moves to the present day and a wealth of updates from across the world – from a gripping eyewitness account of the repainted Concorde G-BOAD being moved by river back to the Intrepid Museum in New York, to the Concordes at Sinsheim and Orly being cleaned, as well as a wash for G-BOAB at Heathrow.
We close, as ever, with news from Heritage Concorde about their work at Duxford and Manchester.
