In this bumper issue we are delighted to present a wealth of features and news about the beautiful white bird.
Our main feature highlights the women who worked with Concorde as pilots, cabin crew and engineers, as well as the dashing French test pilot and brilliant German designer. Each of these remarkable ladies has contributed her own unique talents and dedication to make Concorde what she was throughout her life in service and beyond.
We also take a sideways look at the intended rivals for Concorde’s supersonic crown – the Tu-144 built by the Soviet Union, and the Boeing 2707 and Lockheed L-2000 designed in the USA.
Finally, we include technical insights from Captain Christopher Orlebar and co-editor Nigel Ferris, and an exciting array of news from across the Concorde world.
