In this quarter’s issue we focus on the achievements of the engineers who kept Concorde moving, from initial flights to the end of service.
Three former British Airways Concorde engineers give an in-depth view of the demands and the highlights of their work. Their experience spans the full extent of Concorde’s life, from development work at Filton and Fairford to the daily demands of in-service maintenance, to ensure that each aircraft was ready for a prompt and flawless departure.
For the past few months, communities across the world have been hit by the COVID-19 virus. All visitor attractions, including the Concorde museums, have had to close while populations have been confined to their homes in lockdown. We present a modified Concorde Watch report, outlining what the museums are doing to take care of their aircraft and to connect with supporters.
