In this issue we have two fascinating historical features for you – together with news from Heathrow and Filton, and a sad farewell to a well-loved supporter of Mach 2.
We begin with the story of how Concorde was built – we learn about the highly complex engineering and organisational process, across two countries, from some of the engineers who built this unique aircraft.
Our second feature comprises an insight into the history and workings of the Concorde simulators. It includes an article by former BA Concorde captain John Eames on flight crew training in the British simulator.
Finally, and sadly, we say farewell to the late Christopher Orlebar – a greatly loved figure in the Concorde community, and a regular contributor to Mach 2 magazine.
