In this issue we give an insight into the work of Concorde’s ground engineers – the highly complex, carefully co-ordinated schedules of tasks that they had to perform to keep the aircraft running correctly, from the standard daily maintenance to the full Major checks.
We also bring further news from Filton and Toulouse. From Filton we share a report from Aerospace Bristol about the inauguration of the new Concorde hangar for G-BOAF, while Nigel Ferris recalls a lifetime working with Concorde – including his years showing visitors over every part of the aircraft. From Toulouse/Blagnac, we bring news of the inauguration of their new Concorde exhibit, commemorating the people in Air France and Aerospatiale who played their part in creating and operating Concorde.
